MyHeritage.com – the ‘myspace’ of the Family History online world.

MyHeritage.com

Out of all the sites we’ve reviewed over the years, we truly believe MyHeritage.com will come out as the ‘myspace’ or ‘facebook’ of family history development.

If you haven’t yet logged in, you are really missing out on ‘your heritage’ search.  With clean designs and intuitive functionality, the site is actually quite fun to use.  The best part of the geneology resource however, is how the site automatically imports user’s information into its tree – in no time you can be tracing your family’s history further back than you ever have before.
So log in, try it out today and you too will be glad you discovered you heritage at  MyHeritage.com

Family Tree Searcher

Family Tree Searcher – This is one of our favorites!  This family tree search website actually searches the family tree results of a number of different website databases.  The results are then sorted and provided back to you in deeper, more defined searches.
FamilyTreeSearcher.com is a must to bookmark for any geneology buff.

FamilySearch.org

FamilySearch.org is a free family history resource provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

This website is actually quite a good resource with results begininng from many countries of origin.

Most features of the website are free, and by logging in you have access to additional resources for your search.

findmypast.com – family history in the making.

We came by this site the other day . . . like so many other geneology resources, it appears to be of UK origin, but there are some great tools here to be had.  Naturally, a number of Americans trace their heritage to European ancestry and especially the United Kingdom, so its a very useful tool for exploring some family history.

Although several features of the site require payment, they do have a “pay as you go” type of system for billing, which makes things a bit more conveinent.
